CONSOLIDATED TESTING PROCESS
TRIP 1 (2-days)
Entrance Exam: The entrance exam is a timed 2-hour, multiple choice exam that covers observation and memory, written communication, reading/understanding, and reasoning/analytical ability. A score of 70 is required to pass.
Physical Readiness Assessment: If you pass the entrance exam, you will be notified later that day to report to the Physical Readiness Assessment (PRA) the following day. You can opt to not take the PRA during this initial trip, however, you will be required to make an additional trip to O'ahu at a later date to take the PRA if/when we reach your name on the eligibility list to begin processing/backgrounds.
- Agility Run - 21.6 seconds (click here to see course layout)
- Bench Press - 68% of body weight

- Push Ups - 24 in 2 minutes
- Sit Ups - 24 in 1 minute

Important: Being invited to participate in the consolidated testing does not guarantee you will be processed for a recruit class. Applicants who pass the entrance exam will be ranked by their score and be placed on a "live" eligibility list. Your score will be valid for one (1) year. Once HPD is ready to begin processing for a recruit class (usually 3 times per year), the highest ranking applicants will be notified via email to begin our selection process.
