This position is the public's first contact point in an emergency and is primarily responsible for answering, screening and routing calls for service to all 911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP). Work requires rotating shifts, days off, weekends, and holidays, and may also require extended work hours under certain unforeseen circumstances. Regular and reliable attendance is critical due to operational needs and to ensure public safety and prompt emergency service to the community.

Collects money deposited in parking meters located in municipal parking facilities and city streets. Enforces sections of the Traffic Code pertaining to meter violations of the Revised Ordinance of Honolulu (ROH) 1990, as amended pertaining to meter violations.

- A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from high school AND
- one year of work experience involving public contact.

Example of Duties:
- Plans and executes a forensic accounting examination to determine fraud; research business licensing and registration files to determine business ownership; research recorded real estate transactions to determine real estate ownership, mortgage, and liens.
- Performs preliminary reviews of documents associated with fraud related investigations and other criminal matters to assess and identify issues and the extent of investigative and forensic accounting required.
- Assist investigators in identifying the source documents to support the preparation of: Schedules, Graphs, Charts, Statements of Fact, Historical summaries.
- Creates financial databases from available information of each investigation and manipulates the information to identify the flow of funds through numerous entities and financial institution accounts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in accounting, economics, public administration or business administration
- Three years of auditing experience.
CONTRACT AND VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Traffic Division
Operates a panel truck and collects money deposited in the parking meters on the curb and in off-street parking facilities. Lifts and pushes cart with storage box (up to 200 pounds) on uneven and sometimes uphill terrain (5-8 miles). Lifts cart filled with storage cans about 35 times into and out of assigned vehicles.
Contract approved till June 30, 2025. Option for renewal.
Applications will be forwarded to the Traffic Division. One of the Parking Enforcement staff will contact applicants directly.
